I like my work!

Let me write everything quickly before my head drops on the table and the husband has to do some heavy weight lifting and take me to bed!

So this morning i woke up at 6:15 am and went for a walk for about 21 minutes. It was good but  the waking up part was a real test! I can’t believe how well I can talk myself out  to put my head back to the pillow!

Breakfast:

Iced coffee and yogurt fun again! I am not getting sick of this at all!

Yogurt Mix:

Fat Free French vanilla yogurt

nuts

Chocolate sauce ( sub for carob chips, but not as tasty as carob chips)

I know you must be sick of reading this but I am really enjoying my current project and this is what is motivating me to work non stop, no snack break except for the coffee  break in the afternoon and regular water breaks!

Lunch:

Balsamic chicken and mushroom stirfry. It was good and on taste testing my friends gave their stamp of approval too!

I really want to try Soy milk and each time I go to get my Iced coffee, I tell myself that I will ask for Soy milk today but the uncertainty of the taste makes me opt for Non fat milk instead. Now my question is

How does soy milk taste in a coffee?

Dinner:

Salad with some Spinach split pea soup. Nice and filling.

Oh and I forgot my ravenous running around the kitchen for something to munch scene! As soon as I reached home I wanted to eat something.  I saw some nuts and chowed them down like a pig or whatever hungry animal you can think of! oh and don’t worry I did not eat them straight from the bag instead I portioned it out and then pigged on it!

  • shopping for my friends upcoming wedding
  • Think about eventual “Home” or lab for my PhD dissertation

  1. owwwww Hawaii so jealous. I am feeling very exhausted myself! I think we both need to haul ourselves to bed hehe. Yummy eats- love balsamic on pretty much anything! Soy milk does taste different than regular milk. Just a question- why the desire to change? There is a lot of debtate/research out there both ways on the benefits of soy. I am starting to believe the train of thought that only FERMENTED soy is good for you. Read up on it!

  2. wow- Hawaii? Awesome 😀

I put soy milk in iced coffee and love it- it’s slightly creamier than the skim I use for hot coffee. You can always pour a tiny bit of your coffee into an espresso cup at Starbucks and taste it with soy 🙂

  3. I agree with Erica … I’m not sure what to think about soy myself that why I’ve kinda stayed away from it. Anyways … delicious looking eats!! : ) I hear ya on the breakfast thing, too … I have the same thing just about every morning I really never get sick of it!

  4. Oh yikes, good luck with that last goal (the biochemistry one). You are obviously better at that thatn me, as I can tell from your job working in the lab and all, but I hated that class!! Ugh.

As for soymilk in coffee, I’m drinking it right now! I don’t notice a difference, but if anything I like it better since I use vanilla soymilk! Vanilla and coffee = delicious.

  5. YAY for getting out and walking this morning. You ROCK! BTW, I was never a morning exerciser, but I have learned to be and there is no going back now. And yes, I hit my snooze button about 3-5 times each morning. I’m not proud. 😉

Starbucks uses vanilla soy milk and it makes their drinks
sweeter. This is not a problem for me. I love it, but I usually just get skim to save a few calories.

  6. Your yogurt mix looks like dessert! I love it!! That’s great you’re enjoying your current project so much – getting wrapped up in something you love is fun!

  7. ohh I love your huge salad for dinner!!
Its so hard to get sick of yogurt messes because there are so many different combos!

  8. I promise, soy milk in coffee is amazing! At Starbucks they use vanilla flavored soy too. I always get an iced coffee with soy milk and a couple splenda . . . so good! And usually at Starbucks if you’re a regular, they’re pretty good about remaking your drink if you try something new and don’t like it.
